A glance from Anzac Hill gives you a perspective of Alice Springs and its East-West MacDonnell Ranges. The Araluen Arts Centre is focused on the visual arts and it has a professional theatre and many art galleries featuring the Aboriginal artists, coeval arts and local Australian works.

The most interesting place here is the Alice Springs Reptile Centre which displays a wide variety of lizards, crocodiles which can be viewed from above or below, most venomous snakes and a marvellous Fossil Cave which posses fossils from 200 million years ago. Frontier Camel Farm and Arid Zone Reptile Display is another place to be marvelled of, where we can have a look at the mighty creatures of desert. They also facilitates camel rides which will be a lifetime experience. The parks and gardens here lets you not just to see but to experience the flora and fauna of the land. Alice Springs Desert Park is one among them which gives shelter to a wide variety of species. Here you can walk through the three habitats of desert with the ease of Aboriginals. Blatherskite Park is an area provided by the Government for the recreation of public whereas Olive Pink Botanic Garden founded by Miss Olive Pink is a home to over 250 species. We can go for a picnic or a self-guided walk here, can indulge in creative programs like ‘sponsor a plant’, we can also have snacks from the Bean Tree Cafe in the garden. Watarrka National Park is well-known for its gorges, rockholes and sandstone walls. Kings Canyon is the major attraction in this area where the rocky domes stands upto 100m altitudes. April to September is the best time to visit these regions.
